Lenox Earns Road Win in Western Mass Tournament
TURNERS FALLS, Mass. – Robbie Bazinet went 2-for-2 with a triple and a pair of RBIs Saturday to lead the Lenox baseball team to a 9-8 win over Franklin Tech in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class C Tournament.
Bryce Hoff went 2-for-3 and drove in a run in a six-hit attack for the Millionaires.
Hoff also stole a pair of bases on a day when the Lenox offense stole seven.
Seamus Cooney earned the win on the mound with 2 and a third innings of work in relief of Mason Daley. David Kirchner finished up with 1 and two-thirds of one-run relief.
Fifth-seeded Lenox (11-6) moves on to face the winner of Monday’s quarter-final between eighth-seeded Athol and No. 1 Drury.
