Lenox Earns Second Road Win of Western Mass Tourney
NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Robbie Bazinet Wednesday went the distance on the mound and had a big day at the plate to lead the Lenox baseball team to a 5-3 win over Drury in the Western Massachusetts Class C Semi-Finals.
Bazinet struck out five, walked four and allowed eight hits in earning the victory.
He helped his cause by going 2-for-3 with a triple and a double.
Bryce Hoff and Blake Hoff each doubled, and Seamus Cooney went 3-for-3 with an RBI in a 10-hit Lenox attack.
Drury’s Noah Arnold went 2-for-3 with a double.
Brayden Durant and Connor Hinkell also doubled, and Maddox Cooke went 2-for-3 in the loss.
Durant and JJ Prenguber shared the pitching duties, combining to strike out eight and allow three earned runs.
Drury (14-5) waits to see who it will face in the first round of the Division 5 State Tournament.
Fifth-seeded Lenox advances to the regional final against the winner of Thursday’s game between Greenfield and Westfield Tech.
