GRANBY, Mass. — Claudia Bresett scored four goals, and Brooke DiGennaro had a hat trick Wednesday as the Hoosac Valley girls lacrosse team earned a 9-8 win over Granby.

"This was a back-and-forth game where we came from behind to win again," Hoosac Valley coach Molly Meczywor said. "We rushed offensively, which took us out of our game in the first half. However, I am proud of my girls for their sportsmanship and ability to possess and be composed at the end of the game.

"Chloe Martel, Paige Barrow and Aleah Tarjick were game-changers on defense. Goalie Emilie Godfrey came up with big saves as well."

Godfrey finished with nine stops.

Alie Mendel scored a goal and set up three more, and Faith Hall scored for the Hurriances.

Hoosac Valley (12-0) goes to Lee on Thursday.
