LEE, Mass. -- Haley Malloy struck out a season-high 14, and the McCann Tech softball rallied for three runs in the top of the seventh to defeat Lee, 14-11, on Friday afternoon.

McCann entered the sixth with a comfortable 11-3 lead, but errors helped the homestanding Wildcats score eight to tie it.

But in the seventh, Lexi Andrews (3-for-5) drove in the go-ahead run.

And in the bottom of the frame, Malloy pitched a 1-2-3 inning to send the Hornets home happy.

Andrews had a double, two RBIs and three stolen bases on the afternoon. Alanza Quinones went 3-for-4 with four RBis. Olivia Esoldi was 2-for-5 with a double and three RBIs.

For Lee, Nikki Laudon was 2-for-4 with an RBI. Jenny LePrevost and Hannah Miller split time in the circle, combining to strike out eight and walk eight while allowing 13 hits.

McCann (7-5), which has won six of its last eight, travels to face Gateway on Monday.
