Mohawk Softball Tops McCann Tech

BUCKLAND, Mass. -- Alicia Johnston went 2-for-4 with three RBIs Thursday to lead the Mohawk Trail softball team to an 8-6 win over McCann Tech.

 

“This was a big let down from yesterday,” McCann Tech coach Robin Finnegan said, referring to her team’s win over Steeple City rival Drury. “We will have to rebound from this disappointing loss.”

 

Kalley Vanuni went 2-for-4 with an RBI, and Sarah Fortini was 1-for-2 and scored a couple of runs for McCann Tech.

 

Mohawk got 11 hits off McCann Tech’s Megan Goyette.

 

The Hornets (10-2) will look to bounce back against Mount Greylock on Monday.
