Hoosac Valley Wins Hoosick Falls, N.Y., Tournament

HOOSICK FALLS, N.Y. -- The Hoosac Valley softball team Sunday won twice to take the title at the Charlie Weeden Tournament.
 
In the opener against host Hoosick Falls, Rylie Bishop homered, and Lauren Faucher tripled as the Hurricanes won, 10-3.
 
Bishop went 3-for-4 at the plate to lead a 12-hit Hoosac Valley attack.
 
Madi Puppolo struck out nine while allowing three walks and four hits to earn the win.
 
The title game against Emma Willard lasted just five innings as Hoosac Valley won, 13-3.
 
Katie Braman went 2-for-2 with a double, and Syrah Bradley scored three runs.
 
Hoosac Valley (13-2) hosts Monument Mountain on Monday.
