Williams Leads Lee Past Hoosac

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Junior Heamon Williams scored 24 oints and pulled down 10 rebounds to lead the Lee boys basketball team past Hoosac Valley, 61-41,  in the sixth annual Berkshire County Boys Basketball Coaches vs. Cancer Showcase on Saturday afternoon at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts' Amsler Campus Center.

Jake LePrevost added 16 points for Lee, which took control with an 8-0 run to open up a 13-point lead at the end of the third quarter.

Matt Braman scored 15, and Austin Milesi pulled down six rebounds for Hoosac.

The Hurricanes took their last lead, 18-17, with just fewer than two minutes left in the first half when Trevor Alibozek knocked down a free throw.

Lee mounted a 7-2 run from there to lead by four at half-time and went up by 10 early in the third quarter before Hoosac responded with a 5-0 spurt to pull within 37-32 with 1 minute, 45 seconds left in the third.

But LePrevost hit a jumper from the left wing to end that run, and Lee scored the next six to lead 45-32 going to the fourth quarter.
