Fourth Quarter Costs Mount Everett in Tourney Opener

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. -- Logan Greenlaw scored 30 points Tuesday to lead the Keefe Tech boys basketball team to a 71-59 win over Mount Everett in the Division 5 State Tournament preliminary round.
 
The 33rd-seeded Eagles trailed by just one point, 37-36, at half-time, and it was still a one-point margin going into the fourth quarter.
 
But Keefe Tech got nine points from Greenlaw in the final eight minutes to pull away, outscoring Mount Everett, 18-7.
 
Sean Warren hit six 3-pointers and scored a team-high 20 points for Mount Everett, which got 18 from Michael Ullrich in his final basketball game for the Eagles.
 
Tyler Jacobs and Guthrie Davis each scored six.
 
The Eagles finish the season 12-9. Keefe Tech moves on to play top-seeded Hoosac Valley on Thursday in Cheshire.
