Hoosac Valley Holds Off South Hadley for Road Win

SOUTH HADLEY, Mass. – Joey McGovern and Frank Field scored 21 and 20 points, respectively, to lead the Hoosac Valley boys basketball team to a 72-58 win over South Hadley on Monday.
 
Trevor Moynihan scored 10 points, and Adan Wicks and Qwanell Bradley scored eight apiece as the Hurricanes won their seventh straight.
 
After the Hurricanes jumped out to a 20-point lead, the Tigers rallied in the second half to get within five points.
 
Field scored seven points in the last eight minutes to help his team pull away for the win.
 
Hoosac Valley (15-2) finishes the regular season on Thursday at home against arch rival Drury.
