NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Sophomore Marco Anastasio scored eight points including the game-winning shot on a putback with 30 seconds left to lead the Wahconah High School boys basketball team to a 47-45 win over Monument Mountain at the sixth annual Berkshire County Boys Basketball Coaches Versus Cancer Showcase on Saturday afternoon at Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts' Amsler Campus Center.

Taylor White scored 17 for Monument Mountain.

Anastasio scored all eight of his points in the second half. With the game tied 45-45 in the final minute, he grabbed an offensive rebound and hit a shot from five feet out while falling to the floor to provide the final margin.

Wahconah's Marcus Duncan made two big plays in the final seconds to seal the win. First, he grabbed a defensive rebound on the ensuing possession.

Then, after Wahconah failed to convert the front end of a one-and-one with 13.7 seconds left, Duncan denied Monument's Jason Laramee in the post on the game's final play.
