LENOX, Mass. – Tuesday’s Unified Basketball game at Lenox Memorial was even more unified than usual.

The visiting Pittsfield Generals were a little bit short-handed, but the Millionaires were munificent.

Lenox lent Pittsfield three of its players during the game, ultimately a 46-38 decision in favor of the hosts.

Lahna Yasinski scored on a putback early in the first quarter to give Lenox a 6-0 lead, a margin that the Millionaires ran to 14-4 early in the second quarter.

But, by then, athletes Yasinski and Litano and partner Layla Soules had covered their Lenox jerseys with Pittsfield purple.

Each athlete then scored for the visitors. Yasinski had a bucket for the Generals, and Litano scored twice after switching sides.

The top scorer of the day, appropriately, was from victorious Lenox.

Cooper Knodler scored 16 points – four on transition baskets – in a game when his team never trailed.

Rolando Hernandez scored eight points, and Aiden Delasco added six for Lenox, which got four points apiece from Dionna Koenig, Cady Litano and McKenna O’Brien.

Aubrey McDaniel scored a big bucket late for Lenox to help maintain the lead.

Pittsfield was led by Parker Wilkinson with 12 points. Joseph Oman Cobbinah added eight.

Omar Andrews-Harun and Thomas Muller scored four points apiece, and Izabella Aubin scored in the fourth quarter.

Koenig scored early in the second quarter to give Lenox its biggest lead of the first half at 18-6.

From there, the Generals held their own, getting within eight points at half-time on baskets from Yasinski and Andrews-Harun to make it 22-14.

Lenox used a 12-6 run to pull ahead by 14 on a basket by Knodler.

Pittsfield then posted an 8-2 run of its own. Oman Cobbina scored four in that stretch to get the Generals within eight at 34-26 late in the third.

But that was as close as it got as the Millionaires maintained their lead to the final buzzer.
