Shepherd Hill Edges Pittsfield Boys

PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Dave Biancula scored 21 points to lead Shepherd Hill to a 70-65 win over Pittsfield on Friday night in the Western Massachusetts Division 2 quarter-finals.
 
Seventh-seeded Shepherd Hill (13-7) took control of the game in the second quarter, outscoring the Generals, 20-10, in the frame thanks to 10 from Bianculli.
 
It was a two-point Pittsfield lead at half-time, but Drew Jean-Guillaume scored nine in the third quarter to help Shepherd Hill take a four-point lead it did not relinquish.
 
Bryce Daley scored 22 points, and Amancho Adopo had 18 points for Pittsfield (17-4), which also got 17 from Scott Steinman.
 
Shepherd Hill moves on to the D2 semis on Thursday night at UMass Curry Hicks Cage. It will face Quabbin for a berth in the sectional finals.
