Putnam Girls Down McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Alliha Malcolm scored 15 points Tuesday to lead the Putnam girls basketball team to a 53-34 win over McCann Tech.

 

McCann Tech (4-7) trailed 34-23 at half-time and managed just 11 points the rest of the way.

 

“Tonight we ran out of gas,” Hornets coach Kathy Budaj said. “We struggled rebounding, which gave them three, four, five chances.

 

“We played them strong the first half and even part of the third quarter.”

 

Grace Towler led McCann Tech with 14 points. Aubrey Tetlow added nine, and Kaylee Tatro scored seven.

 

The Hornets host Mahar on Friday.
