Hoosac Valley Girls Tale Care of Business Against Georgetown

CHESHIRE, Mass. – Averie McGrath scored 20 points Monday to lead the top-seeded Hoosac Valley girls basketball team to a 66-28 win over Georgetown for a berth in the Division 5 State Quarter-finals.
 
Rylynn Witek added 17 points, and Gabby Billetz scored eight for the Hurricanes, who jumped out to a 35-10 half-time lead.
 
Hoosac Valley (20-3) awaits the winner of Wednesday’s Sweet 16 game between No. 8 Carver and No. 9 West Boylston.
