Furlong Leads Wahconah Girls at Mount Everett

SHEFFIELD, Mass. -- Noelle Furlong scored 20 points Monday to lead the Wahconah girls basketball team to a 59-47 win over Mount Everett.
 
The visitors jumped out to an 18-8 lead after the first quarter behind five points apiece from Furling, Cassie Tobler and Julia O’Connor.
 
Mount Everett played the North Division squad even the rest of the way thanks to 15 points from Gwendolyn Carpenter, 10 from Madison Ullrich and nine from Tori Seward.
 
Tobler and O’Connor each ended in double figures for Wahconah, scoring 16 and 10, respectively.
 
Wahconah (16-3) finishes its regular season on Wednesday at home against Lee.
 
Mount Everett (11-9) learns Saturday where and against home it will begin play in the Western Massachusetts Division 4 tournament.
