PITTSFIELD, Mass. -- Hayden Zinchuk and the Lenox girls' basketball team didn't make life easy for Pittsfield on Monday, but the Generals' balanced scoring finally helped them pull away in the fourth quarter en route to a 59-48 win at home.

Zinchuk scored a game-high 22 points for the Millionaires, who still had plenty of legs left after playing their fourth game in less than a week. Pittsfield (7-2) led by four points at the end of the first quarter, but Lenox (7-3) stayed right with them over the next two frames, trailing by just six points heading into the fourth. The Generals put the game away in the final quarter, however, busting out for 19 points over the final eight minutes of the game.

"Balanced scoring from nine different players led us to victory over a stubborn Lenox squad tonight," Pittsfield head coach Joe Racicot said. "I thought Trinity Cookis gave us a spark we needed each time she entered the game. She finished with seven points and four assists while also applying great defensive pressure on the ball."

Senior captain Courtney McLaughlin led the Generals offense, scoring 15 points to go with seven rebounds and three assists. Sophomore Lauren Carnevale came up a little short on her double-double attempt, finishing with nine points and nine boards. Junior Dominique Satrape also chipped in with nine points and five assists, while senior Rachael Hunt added six points and nine rebounds.

Forward Liz Mitts also came through with 11 points for the Millionaires.

Pittsfield is back in action again on Wednesday with a road game at Monument Mountain at 7 p.m.
