2006-2007: CHEVROLET FRANCHISE OBTAINED
Opportunity arises to enter a Buy/Sell agreement with Gateway Chevrolet in North Adams, MA. Bedard Bros. Inc. insist the location will be moved to Cheshire, MA, if agreement is to be finalized; Chevrolet request being housed in Dodge facility. Buy/Sell agreement finalized in December 2007; Temporary operation runs in North Adams until building renovations can be completed.
2006-2009: JEEP AND CHRYSLER ADDED
Dodge business had been declining drastically; Many attempts made to acquire Jeep with no success. Bedard Bros. Inc is then approached by Chrysler with a plan and financial assistance to merge Haddad Jeep, KM Jeep and Haddad Chrsyler-Dodge. A new facility is required. the present Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge showroom and service buildings are built in 2009.
2008: MARKET COLLAPSE
At the time of the 2008 Stock Market Crash, Bedard Bros. Inc. has just added Chevrolet, Jeep, and Chrysler. The dealership also had 3 buildings under construction or renovation. Auto industry in disarray; No choice but to continue moving forward.
2009: April: Chevrolet moved to Cheshire; May: Chrysler Corporation declares bankruptcy; June: General Motors declares bankruptcy.
NEW FACILITIES ARE COMPLETED Uncertainty remains within the industry; Despite doubts, Chrysler, Jeep, and Dodge merger assistance money is paid in full by Chrysler Corporation
