Donations will go to one of five food banks within Big Y's two-state marketing area. These food banks support local soup kitchens, food pantries, senior food programs, daycare centers and many others of the 2,100 member agencies that they help every day.
The MassGrown Exchange, launched last month by the Baker-Polito Administration, is a business to business platform that assists farmers, fishers, food buyers, and agriculture-related businesses to connect, exchange and find products and services across the Commonwealth of Massachusetts.

The Big Y Community Bag and Giving Tag Program, which launched in January 2019, is a reusable bag program that facilitates community support with the goal to make a difference in the communities where shoppers live and work.
Big Y Foods Inc., one of the largest independently owned supermarket chains in New England, will eliminate its use of the bags from all 70 of its markets, specialty stores and Big Y Express Gas and Convenience locations in 2020.
