Richard Monk, the father of the 2-year-old boy who died on Monday in connection with the Cliff Street fire, was arraigned yesterday in Central Berkshire District Court after being arrested on an outstanding warrant. Monk, who now lives in Erie, Pennsylvania, pled not guilty to 2 counts of violation of a restraining order and 1 count of making annoying telephone calls. The restraining order and telephone complaints were filed last year by his estranged wife, Barbara Monk. Richard Monk was arrested on Tuesday when he returned from Erie Pennsylvania to talk to Pittsfield police about the death of his 2-year-old son, Eric. District Court Judge Alfred Barbalunga released Monk on his own personal recognizance. This report was compiled by WUHN/WUPE Radio, Pittsfield
