Rheumatologist Joins BMC Medical Staff

Dr. Harbrinder Sandhu
PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Berkshire Health Systems has appointed of Dr. Harbrinder Sandhu, a board certified and fellowship trained rheumatologist, to the medical staff of Berkshire Medical Center.

Sandhu is accepting new patients in need of rheumatology care and joins Dr. Edmund Hornstein in practice with Contemporary Rheumatology Specialists, with offices on the second floor of the BMC Medical Arts Complex, 777 North St.

Sandhu came to the Berkshires from Albany, N.Y., where he was a practicing rheumatologist with the Center for Rheumatology. He received his medical degree from Dayanand Medical College in India and completed his residency in internal medicine from Albany Medical Center. He also received his fellowship training in rheumatology from Albany Medical Center. He is board certified in internal medicine and rheumatology.

Pittsfield Christmas Tree Pickup Schedule

PITTSFIELD, Mass. — Sure, it's only the day after Christmas, but you do have to figure out how long to keep that tree up. 
 
If you have an artificial one, take your time. If you have a real one, you can have it hauled away in the New Year if you live in Pittsfield. 
 
Casella will be picking up Christmas trees until the week of Jan. 26. Residents are asked to place their tree at the curbside for their designated pickup day, and Casella will collect them based on the schedule below:
 
• Week of Jan. 5: trees will be collected for Monday and Friday routes
• Week of Jan. 12: trees will be collected for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday
routes
• Week of Jan. 19: trees will be collected for Monday and Friday routes
• Week of Jan. 26: trees will be collected for Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday routes
