Letters: Principal's Departure Lacks News Coverage
![]() |
To the Editor:
As a student at Mount Greylock, I am writing to tell you how surprised and upset I am at the lack of good reporting on the recent resignation of Jack Kurty as principal.
So many people are a part of the Mount Greylock community and are affected by the resignation of Dr. Kurty, yet the only person quoted in your article, "Mount Greylock High Principal Leaving," was Superintendant Rose Ellis. Where are the teachers' opinions? The students' voices? The parents' questions?
The fact that I can read more about Tuesday's lacrosse game than the abrupt resignation of my high school's principal, hired less than a year ago, shows a certain laziness in your reporting that is actually quite alarming.
There are voices at my school to be heard and reported — not just the attorney-approved words of Rose Ellis.
