Lenox Town Beach Opens June 22

LENOX, Mass. — The Lenox Town Beach will open on June 22 and parking stickers are required for all vehicles parked at the beach.
 
Residents can apply for a free permit but must prove residency. They must also provide a signed Lenox Beach Guidelines 2022.
 
They are allowed one pass per vehicle.
 
Forms can be found online or at the community center.
 
Beach Parking passes will be issued at the Community Center starting June 1 which is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 4 pm.
 
A non-resident parking pass costs $65. 
 
There is a $5 cash per vehicle charge at the beech.
 
When lifeguards are not on duty swimmers swim at their own risk.
 
Hours, weather permitting, are 8 am to dusk, no later than 8 pm. There is no trespassing after 8 pm.

MassDOT: Lenox Temporary Lane Closures on Route 7 Northbound

LENOX, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing it will be implementing temporary lane closures on Route 7 northbound in Lenox. 
 
The low speed lane will be closed between mile marker 26 to mile marker 27, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. beginning Monday, April 22 and continuing Monday through Friday until Friday, May 17.  
 
Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.? 
 
Appropriate signage, law enforcement details, and advanced message boards will be in place to guide drivers through the work area.  
 
All scheduled work is weather dependent and/or may be impacted due to an emergency situation.?
