Laurel Lake beaches, shut down Monday by the Tri-Town Board of Health because of possible sewer contamination, could reopen as early as today, officials say. Health officials are awaiting results of bacterial tests after some potential sewage contamination leaked into the causeway of the Lake. Most of the results are in and, according to officials, they may reopen the beaches as early as today. The sewage originated at a private pumping station at Lakeside Condominiums at Foxhollow Resort.
