Bard College at Simon's Rock to Screen '20 Days in Mariupol'

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass.—Bard College at Simon's Rock will screen "20 Days in Mariupol" on Saturday, Feb. 24 at 7:00 p.m. in the Clarke Auditorium in the Fisher Science and Academic Center.
 
This initiative is made possible by a partnership between PBS | Frontline and Razom for Ukraine and is open to students based at U.S. universities and colleges. For the first time in Ukrainian cinematic history, a Ukraine-made film has secured a sport among the Academy Award Nominees. 
 
According to a press release, the goal of this initiative is to spread the important message of the documentary as well as engage universities, bring agency to the student body to make an impact, and build a pathway for future Ukrainian films to reach a wide audience in different institutions.
 
This event is open to the public and is free to attend.

MassDOT: South County Road Work

STOCKBRIDGE, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing various construction operations on I-90 eastbound and westbound for bridge painting, bridge repair work, and tree trimming. 
 
The work will take place from Monday, Dec. 16, through Friday, Dec.  20, during the following scheduled hours:
 
Becket 
  • Bridge painting will be conducted on I-90 eastbound and westbound at mile marker 18.4, utilizing lane closures, from Monday night, Dec.  16, through Thursday night, Dec. 19, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning., with work concluding by 5:30 a.m. on Friday morning, Dec. 20.
 
West Stockbridge/Stockbridge 
  • Bridge repair work will take place on I-90 eastbound from mile marker 3.9 to 6.5, utilizing lane closures, from Monday night, Dec.  16, through Thursday night, Dec. 19, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning, with work concluding by 5:30 a.m. on Friday morning, Dec.  20.
  • Bridge repair work will also occur on I-90 eastbound from mile marker 0.8 to 3.0, utilizing lane closures, from Monday night, Dec.  16, through Thursday night, Dec. 19, from 7:00 p.m. to 5:30 a.m. the following morning, with work concluding by 5:30 a.m. on Friday morning, Dec. 20. 
 
West Stockbridge/Stockbridge/Lee 
  • Tree trimming will be conducted on I-90 eastbound from mile marker 0.0 to 10.0, utilizing shoulder closures, from Monday, Dec.  16, through Friday, Dec. 20, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. each day.
 
West Stockbridge 
  • Guardrail repair work will take place on I-90 westbound at mile marker 3.0, utilizing lane closures, on Friday, Dec. 20, from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. 
 
Drivers traveling through these areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
