Print Story | Email Story

FLORIDA, Mass. — The Massachusetts Department of Transportation (MassDOT) is announcing a temporary closure of Route 2 at mile marker 22.4 in Florida.

The closure is required due to an earlier crash with fuel spill, and is expected to remain in place until all cleanup is completed.

Route 2 traffic is being detoured to Route 8, Route 116 and Route 112. Local traffic can seek alternate routes.

Temporary signs and variable message boards are being deployed to advise drivers to seek alternate routes.

Drivers traveling through the affected areas should expect delays, reduce speed, and use caution.
