DALTON, Mass. — Berkshire Money Management, the local financial advising firm with offices in Dalton, Great Barrington, and Williamstown, has been recognized on USA Today's list of the Best Financial Advisory Firms 2026.

Berkshire Money Management appears to be the only Massachusetts-based firm west of Worcester to be included on this year's list. This award is presented by USA Today and Statista, Inc.

The Best Financial Advisory Firms 2026 list awards the top registered investment advisory (RIA) firms in the United States based on two dimensions:
  • Recommendations from financial advisors, clients, and industry experts: Recommendations were collected via an independent survey among over 30,000 individuals. Clients, industry experts, and financial advisors working for an RIA firm could recommend the RIA firms they find commendable.
  • Development of Assets under Management (AUM): Both short-term (12-month) and long-term (5-year) AUM development were analyzed using publicly available data.
"We're honored to be named to USA Today's 2026 list of Best Financial Advisory Firms," said Natalie Wheeler, President and Chief Operating Officer of Berkshire Money Management. "This recognition is a credit to the entire Berkshire Money Management team and the thoughtful work they do every day as we strive to provide the best financial guidance and support to our clients."

To be eligible for the award, firms must be registered as an investment advisory firm (RIA firm) with the SEC and/or at state level for at least one year, maintain a principal office in the United States, have a clean disciplinary record, provide financial planning or portfolio management services to individuals and/or small businesses, and manage more than $500,000 in AUM.

According to the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority's (FINRA) 2025 Industry Snapshot, there were 32,090 SEC-registered investment advisor firms in 2024. According to the North American Securities Administrators Association's (NASAA) 2025 Investment Adviser Section Annual Report, there were 16,575 state-registered investment advisers by home state as of December 31, 2024.

Dalton Advances to Berkshire Adult Baseball League Final

By Stephen DravisiBerkshires.com Sports
WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. – Paul McBride went 1-for-2 with a pair of runs batted in and threw 4 and two-third innings on the mound Sunday to lead the Dalton Moneymakers to a 10-9 win over the Pontoosuc Lake Monsters to sweep their semi-final series in the Berkshire Adult Baseball League 33-and-older division.

Dalton, the tournament’s third seed, was able to stem a three-run Pontoosuc rally in the bottom of the seventh to secure the win and a 2-0 series sweep.

On Saturday morning, Dalton earned a 12-2 win to start the best of three series.

Now, the Moneymakers move on to face either Tunnel City Freight or the Adams Pirates, the league’s first and fourth seeds, respectively, who finished their playoff series on Friday as well.

On Mount Greylock Regional School’s junior varsity field on Sunday, Dalton scored twice in the top of the seventh to take a 10-6 lead with three outs left.

But Pontoosuc got four hits and a sacrifice fly with one out to draw within one before Dalton reliever Tim Healey got a groundball back to the mound and fired to first to end the game.

Dalton never trailed but never could shake the Lake Monsters in the back-and-forth game.
