Mark L. Boisvert

ADAMS, Mass. —

Mark Leonard Boisvert passed away peacefully on April 15, 2025. His family called him Mark but he was affectionately known as "Bugz" by his friends.

Born in North Adams, MA, Mark grew up in Cheshire and graduated from Hoosac Valley High School in 1979.

An expert skier Mark spent much time at Brodie Mountain where he worked as a ski instructor and later at Killington Resort in Vermont. It was Mark's love of skiing and the outdoors that drew him to his longtime home in the Grand Teton Valley of Jackson, WY later moving over "The Pass" to Victor and Driggs, ID. Having a heart for adventure, the western landscape provided Mark the opportunity to pursue his love of skiing, rock climbing and cross-mountain running. Mark always remained a great fan of the New England sports teams. Particularly the Red Sox, Patriots & Bruins. Mark was an accomplished carpenter and photographer. He also enjoyed reading and writing poetry with his final verse being "No Bad Turns, No Bad Nails, No Bad Love".

He is predeceased by his parents Leonard R. Boisvert and Patricia J. (Beaubien) Boisvert. He is survived by his sisters Barbara B. Michaud and her husband John Yarmo of Candia, NH and Ellen M. "Sam" Presnick and husband Todd of Sioux Falls, SD. Nephews Jesse F. Michaud and fiancé Amanda Fontaine of Manchester, NH and Scott L. Michaud and family, Abby, Ben and Ellie of Hooksett, NH.

A Memorial Service for Mark will take place at Paciorek Funeral Home, 13 Hoosac Street, Adams MA on Friday August 29, 2025 from 12:00 Noon to 1:00PM.

Mark's final resting place will be in the Valley of Mt. Greylock in Bellevue Cemetery immediately following the memorial service.

My belated condolences to Barb and family. Just recently found out from your cousin Joe Turgeon. Fond memories of skiing with Bugzy. Can't believe we've lost my skiing posse, John Coppola, Bugzy and Chuck Belch. May they be skiing the champagne powder in the sky.

Barb and Family, it’s sad to hear about Marks passing, but it’s good to know about the wonderful life he lived. May he RIP, and may you all remember fondly how well he lived.

Wow… I’m sad, fellow alter boy, I went to school with Mark at Notre Dame in Adams. I did say Mark, to my best recollection it was in that Notre Dame schoolyard that the nic name Bugsy started. I’m glad I was able to touch base over the years.
RIP My friend

It was always a joy to sit and talk to Mark about the world and all that was going in on it. . His love for his stray cat, Fatso, is what drew me to him. He had a sparkle in his eye and he always made you feel cared for. His absence is felt and he is truly missed. ?

Barbara and Ellen, I am very sorry for your loss. I followed Mark on Facebook. I wondered where his 2 sisters were.
Fond memories of Towncrest. It's been a long time since I have been there.
Hugs from a former neighbor.

Bugz was Mr Ski ! He is one on the best skiers. No hill no run was too steep, no jump was too intimidating, and no run had too many modules! I was happy Mark lived, worked, and skied in Wyoming and Utah. He was a BIG Mountain skier. RIP Bugz!

Barbara and Ellen, read Mark's obituary today. Was saddened to read of his passing. I followed his life a bit on FB in the past. He lived in a beautiful area. Thoughts and prayers of comfort are sent to you. I warmly remember your family from my early childhood.

I'm at a loss for words, we have had many good times growing up with Mark. He always had a witty response to anything. He will surely be missed by many. R.I.P Mark

Deeply saddened at the loss of this good man. Mark was a great friend when he coached skiing at Brodie and also his years at Jiminy Peak. While it was decades ago, I remember Mark vividly through his great attitude and big smile no matter the snow conditions nor work load. He was part of four musketeers from Adams MA along with John Kopala (whom we lost recently), Tim Duncan and Rick Sanderson.
Mark also deeply lived music especially the launch of Dire Straits - -so much that he nicknamed himself "M. Sultan" and we referred to each other as "Sultan." It was just fun.
I am particularly saddened because I was planning to drop in on him in two weeks when I visit Jackson Hole WY on a work trip.
Deep condolences to family on the loss of brother.

So sorry to see this. I always loved skiing and hanging out with Bugz at Brodie. We sure had a lot of fun. We hadn’t talked in years until he posted a picture of my sister in law that was taken at Brodie. She has since passed and he sent me the picture. Shortly after, I received the picture, we lost my brother. I hope you all are hanging together in heaven. We sure have lost some good one’s!
