Everett M. Geno Sr., 82
STAMFORD, Vt. — Everett Michael Geno Sr., 82, of 263 Clough Road died Sunday, Feb. 29, 2004, North Adams (Mass.) Regional Hospital, where he was admitted on Feb. 23.
Born in Valley Falls, R.I., on Nov. 20, 1921, son of Albert L. and Annie Delorme Geno, he moved to Stamford as a child and attended local schools.
Mr. Geno was employed as a maintenance engineer at Berkshire Landings Apartments in North Adams until his retirement in 2002. He was first employed by the former Berkshire Hathaway Inc., and later by the former Sprague Electric Co. in North Adams.
He also worked at the former Arnold Print Works for many years.
He leaves his wife, the former Marie Wheaton, whom he married March 10, 1992.
Besides his wife, he leaves two sons, Everett M. Geno Jr. and his wife, Kathy, of Eldridge, Iowa, and William Geno and his wife, Shirley, of Pownal; two daughters, Pamela Macksey and her husband, Randy, and Beverly Collins, both of North Adams; a stepdaughter, Edith Wheaton of North Adams; a sister, Eveline Geno of North Adams, and two grandchildren, Ashley Macksey and Chad Bennett
FUNERAL NOTICE — A Liturgy of Christian Burial for Mr. Geno will be celebrated Friday, March 5, at 11 at St. John Bosco Church in Stamford by the Rev. Joseph Tate, pastor.
Burial will be private. There will be no calling hours. Memorial contributions may be made to the charity of the donor's choice in care of Flynn & Dagnoli-Montagna Home for Funerals, Central Chapels, 74 Marshall St., North Adams, MA 01247.
