She had a lifelong love for music. She began taking singing lessons as a young teen in Gloucester and often attended two churches on Sundays, one Protestant and the other Catholic, to have more opportunities to sing with the choir. At college, she sang and danced in several student productions. She loved Tanglewood and Frank Sinatra. She was an avid skier, beginning as a teen in the 1930s and continuing to ski the slopes at Butternut well into her 70s. She was skilled at tennis as well, playing for many summers at Wyantenuck and many winters at Jug End. She was a world traveler and joined her oldest son on safari in Kenya. She particularly loved the Berkshires and Cape Ann. She was a beautiful, vibrant, talented, loving and giving woman who was deeply loved by her family and by many friends, and she will be dearly missed by all.
