WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. — Eric Hirsch scored two goals to help the Mount Greylock boys soccer team win its second straight game, stay unbeaten in its last six and wrap up a share of the North Division title with a 3-0 victory over Taconic on Thursday night.

"Our goal tonight was to get the two points and ensure a tie for the North title," Mount Greylock coach Blair Dils said. "It's out of our hands now and we look forward to see what happens in the Pittsfield and Wahconah game [Friday]."

Senior Dustin Chang scored the other goal on Senior Night on John T. Allen Field, and Grant Raphael had two assists for the Mounties (10-3-4). Cal Filson made three saves in his third straight shutout behind a defense anchored by David Majetich.

"Once again our defending was very good," Dils said. "The one breakdown we had ‑ late in the second half with our lead at 2-0 ‑ Cal Filson made his two best saves of the season. Had Taconic broken through right there, the ending of the game would have been very much in the balance."

Benni McComish set up Hirsch for the eventual game-winner just three minutes into the contest. The Mounties added two more goals in the second half, including Chang's first of the year in the 75th minute.

"It was great to see senior Dustin Chang score his first career goal," Dils said. "Dusty hasn't had many minutes this season due to a concussion, but he made the most of his chance tonight. His one time finish off a corner underneath the crossbar is a goal he'll never forget."

The Mounties finish the regular season with North County rival but South Division opponent Drury on Monday.

"We look forward to our match with Drury on Monday," Dils said. "They're not a team to take lightly as coach [Greg] Caproni does a great job with those boys. I'm sure they'll approach the game as if it's a playoff game, so we had better be ready to play on their narrow home field."
