Monument Mountain Boys, Girls Successful at Wahconah

DALTON, Mass. – Peter Fields Wednesday led the Monument Mountain boys cross country team to a pair of wins, including a two-point victory over Taconic four-team meet at Wahconah.
 
Fields placed fourth overall with a time of 19 minutes, 29 seconds to pace the Spartans, who also picked up a win against Lee.
 
Lee’s Noah Hassmer was the individual winner, edging Wahconah’s Lake Kittler by one-second for first place.
 
Wahconah won both of their duals in the boys meet, beating Lee and Taconic.
 
Monument Mountain’s girls joined their boys team in heading back south with a pair of victories.
 
Spartans Nina Martin, Maeve Murray and Kealy Dvergilio finished 1-2-3 in the girls race. Martin paced the field with a time of 23:28.
 
Five Monument Mountain girls finished in the top seven.
 
Wahconah beat Taconic behind Megan Tucker, who placed fourth.
 
Lee’s girls earned a win against Wahconah. Charlotte Van Wagner led the Wildcats, finishing in fifth place.
