McCann Tech Cross Country Competes at Mohawk Trail

BUCKLAND, Mass. – The McCann Tech girls cross country team Wednesday dropped a 21-38 decision to Belchertown in a four-team meet at Mohawk Trail.

 

The Hornets only scored against the Orioles and Hampshire Regional. Hampshire beat the McCann Tech girls, 15-50, and swept the boys by scores of 15-50.

 

Mohawk Trail’s Peter Healy and Anya Read were the fastest runners on the 2.55-mile course, running times of 15 minutes, 16 seconds and 18:11, respectively.

 

The McCann Tech girls were led by Kamilia Kondel, who placed 19th in 21:16. R.J. Carbaleira placed 34th with a time of 19:31 to lead the Hornets’ boys.

 

McCann Tech is home at Greylock Glen on Oct. 1 against Gateway and Mohawk Trail.
