Lenox Wins Western Mass Title
LENOX, Mass. – The Lenox girls tennis team Tuesday captured the Western Massachusetts Class C Championship with a 4-1 win over Mount Greylock.
After competitive first sets in second singles through second doubles, the Millionaires rolled to 6-0 wins in the second set of each of those matches.
Julia Zanin and Caity Giardina won at second and third singles, respectively.
Lenox’s doubles teams of Reeva Patel/Bella Giardina and Lauren Romano/Brooklyn Butler also captured wins as the top-seeded Millionaires earned their fourth win of the year against the Mounties.
Mount Greylock’s point came at first singles, where Scarlett Foley won in straight sets.
Both Lenox and Mount Greylock now get ready for the Division 4 State Tournament.
