Athol Baseball Tops McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – The Athol baseball team Wednesday rallied for seven runs in the top of the seventh inning to earn a 9-7 win over McCann Tech.

 

Aidan Tremblay went 2-for-4 with a double and a run batted in for the Hornets.

 

Mason Rondeau was 2-for-3 with two RBIs, and Hayden Barrett and Kale Kondel each doubled in a nine-hit attack for the Hornets.

 

Barrett struck out 11 and gave up no earned runs in 6 and a third innings on the mound. The Bears took advantage of six McCann Tech errors to generate their runs.

 

McCann Tech (5-11) is scheduled to finish the regular season on Thursday at Springfield International Charter.
