Taconic Knocks Off South Hadley in Class B Tourney

PITTSFIELD, Mass. – Quentin Christopher Monday went the distance on the mound to lead the Taconic baseball team to an 11-1, five-inning win over South Hadley in the quarter-finals of the Western Massachusetts Class B Tournament.
 
Christopher struck out five, walked three and allowed three hits in the win.
 
He also helped his cause with a triple and three runs batted in at the plate.
 
Cam Reynolds went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles and an RBI, and Tyler Arseneau was 2-for-3 with a double and a pair of RBIs.
 
Gavin Maffuccio was 2-for-4 and drove in three runs in a 13-hit Taconic attack.
 
The Thunder (8-9) head to Wahconah in the regional semi-finals on a date to be announced.
