Franklin Tech Softball Upsets McCann Tech

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. – Ava Worden went 2-for-3 with a triple Wednesday to lead the Franklin Tech softball team to a 7-1, upset win over McCann Tech in the Western Massachusetts Class C Semi-Finals.

 

Brayleigh Burgh struck out six and held the Hornets to five hits in a complete-game win in the circle.

 

Ryleigh Rathbun went 1-for-3 at the plate and scored the only run for McCann Tech.

 

Hornets Emma LeMire and Avery Lane split time in the circle, combining to strike out 11.

 

McCann Tech (14-2) hosts Old Colony Voc/Tech on Sunday at 2 p.m. in the State Vocational Tournament.
