Evelyn Julieano's Monster Day Lifts Lenox

DIGHTON, Mass. – Evelyn Julieano went 4-for-5 with two home runs and a double Wednesday to lead the Lenox softball team to a 14-9 win over Bristol Aggie in the Division 5 State Tournament Round of 16.

 

Lilly MacDonald and Lexi Witherell also homered, and Layla Soules was 2-for-4 with a double.

 

Amaya Alger went 3-for-5 in a 16-hit attack for the Millionaires.

 

Cassidy Flynn went 5 and two-thirds innings in the circle, striking out three, before giving the ball to Julieano, who closed out the win with an inning and a third of scoreless relief.

 

Ninth-seeded Lenox (14-7) moves on to play at No. 1 Hoosac Valley in the state quarter-finals on a day to be announced.
