Lee Girls Dominate Second Half, Earn Spot in State Tourney

BUCKLAND, Mass. – Mika Diller scored 14 points, and Giana Carlino added 12 Friday to lead the Lee girls basketball team to a 60-26 win over Mohawk Trail.

 

With the victory, Lee secured a berth in the Division 5 State Tournament.

 

For the second time in as many nights, the Wildcats held an opponent scoreless in a quarter.

 

On Friday, they outscored Mohawk Trail, 18-0, in the third and went on to hold the hosts to just three points in the second half.

 

Ella Simone scored eight, and Tamia Andrade finished with seven in the win.

 

Lee (10-3) is scheduled to go to Taconic on Monday.
