O'Connor Leads Wahconah Girls Past Taconic

DALTON, Mass. -- Julia O’Connor scored 13 points, and Kelly McMahon scored nine in the third quarter to help lead the Wahconah girls basketball team to a 48-28 win over Taconic on Tuesday night.
 
Wahconah jumped out to a 16-6 lead after one quarter behind eight points from O’Connor. It put the game away by holding Taconic (4-6) to just four points in the fourth quarter.
 
Abbie Steinman and Cassie Tobler each scored eight in the win.
 
Addi Lyon scored nine, and Tamia Patrick and Ashley Rufo each had seven for Taconic, which goes to Monument Mountain next Monday.
 
Wahconah (9-2) takes a three-game winning streak into Friday’s home game against Mount Greylock.
