Puleri, Lee Girls Top Spartans

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. -- Emma Puleri scored 13 points Thursday to lead the Lee girls basketball team to a 49-41 win over Monument Mountain.
 
The Wildcats shot 9-for-13 from the foul line to hold off the Spartans' comeback bid. 
 
Monument Mountain trailed, 40-26, going to the fourth quarter, but Natalie Lewis hit a pair of 3-pointers and scored eight points in the quarter to help get the deficit down to single digits.
 
Lewis finished with a game-high 15 points, and Abby Dohoney scored nine for the Spartans.
 
Lee got 11 points apiece from Caroline Maloney and Lena Simone.
 
Lee goes to Hoosac Valley next Thursday.
 
Monument Mountain is at Hoosac on March 5.
