Maria Gamberoni Named Berkshire County MVP

Wahconah senior Maria Gamberoni was named the most valuable player in the Berkshire County League in a vote of the league's coaches.
 
The coaches Tuesday released their all-league teams for the 2021 girls basketball season.
 
Undefeated Wahconah placed two players on the all-Berkshire County team and two more on the all-North Division squad.
 
Joining Gamberoni on the all-league team is classmate Noelle Furlong.
 
They are joined on the all-Berkshire team by Taconic's Ciany Conyers and Ahliya Phillips, Hoosac Valley's Averie McGrath and Annie Canales, Mount Greylock's Delaney Babcock, Lee's Lena Simone, Pittsfield's Lexi Sondrini and Monument Mountain's Natalie Lewis.
 
The all-North team includes Wahconah's Morgan Marauszwski and Olivia Gamberoni, Hoosac Valley's Rylynn Witek and Alyssa Garabedian, Taconic's Kendra Buda and Faith Cross and Pittsfield's Emery Sime.
 
Leading the South Division were Lee's Emma Puleri and Caroline Maloney, Lenox's Sophie Patella and Anna Najimy, Mount Everett's Mackenzie Ullrich and Emma Goewey, Mount Greylock's Emma Stevens and Charlotte Coody, Drury's Kayla McGrath and Monument Mountain's Abby Dohoney.
