Sally Morse Majewski appointed to PR post at The Clark

Williamstown - Sally Morse Majewski has been appointed manager of public relations and marketing at the Sterling and Francine Clark Art Institute. Morse Majewski will oversee the organization's marketing and public relations activities. "Sally's experience and longtime commitment to the cultural and economic development of the Berkshires will be a great asset to the Clark," said director Michael Conforti. "We welcome her and look forward to working with her." Morse Majewski brings a diversity of public relations and marketing experience to the Clark. As director of marketing for Hancock Shaker Village she directed the historic site's publication, advertising, and public relation activities including those associated with the 2000 opening of the Center for Shaker Studies. In addition, she oversaw several award-winning design and marketing projects that garnered recognition from the New England Museum Association and Massachusetts Office of Travel and Tourism. From 1990 to 1995 she served as executive director of Pittsfield Central, a downtown revitalization organization that provided unifying marketing, management, and advocacy for Pittsfield's downtown region. An active member of the Berkshire's tourism and arts community, Morse Majewski serves on numerous committees including as a board member of the Berkshire Visitors Bureau. Morse Majewski is a native of North Adams and returned to the Berkshires after graduating from the University of Massachusetts in Amherst. "It is a thrill for me to be back in north Berkshire and at the Clark - an institution that I have loved and admired since I visited here as a schoolgirl," said Morse Majewski. "This is an extraordinary time to be part of the Clark; the 50th anniversary activities, the national tour, and the expansion project are exciting programs with which to be involved." The Clark is located at 225 South Street in Williamstown, Massachusetts. The galleries are open Tuesday through Sunday from 10 am to 5 pm (daily in July and August). Admission is free November through May. Admission June 1 through October 31 is $10 for adults, free for children 18 and younger, members, and students with valid ID. Friends of Great Barrington Libraries Holiday Book Sale

GREAT BARRINGTON, Mass. — The Friends of Great Barrington Libraries invite the community to shop their annual Holiday Good-as-New Book Sale, happening now through the end of the year at the Mason Library, 231 Main Street. 
 
With hundreds of curated gently used books to choose from—fiction, nonfiction, children's favorites, gift-quality selections, cookbooks, and more—it's the perfect local stop for holiday gifting.
 
This year's sale is an addition to the Southern Berkshire Chamber of Commerce's Holiday Stroll on this Saturday, Dec. 13, 3–8 PM. Visitors can swing by the Mason Library for early parking, browse the sale until 3:00 PM, then meet Pete the Cat on the front lawn before heading downtown for the Stroll's shopping, music, and festive eats.
 
Can't make the Holiday Stroll? The book sale is open during regular Mason Library hours throughout December.
 
Proceeds support free library programming and events for all ages.
