The 34th annual youth baseball exchange between North Adams and Boston's North End kicks off in the city this weekend.

Founder George Canales has collaborated with his friend John Romano of the North End Athletic Association to provide North County ballplayers the opportunity to play against The Hub's squad and give the big city kids a chance to visit the rural Berkshires. The two teams will meet up again Aug. 9 and 10 for games on the home field of the North End Dodgers.

National Carousel Day

Time: 5 p.m.

Enjoy an evening at the carousel with face painting and a spin around on the infamous ponies.

NBCC Family Movies Under the Stars Night

Time: 8:30 to 10:30 p.m.

Bring the family and enjoy a free showing of "Toy Story" this Friday night at the field. Enjoy popcorn and make sure to bring your own blankets and chairs.

Common Craft Night

Casual Common Folk gathering for local and visiting makers to work on portable creative activities: knitting, crochet, drawing, needlework, etc. Please no smelly or possibly pet toxic materials. This is in the Walkaway House, the former dentist office.

Songs of Summertime

First Congregational Church, Williamstown

Time: 7 p.m.

Performances by student musicians from Williams College in the church sanctuary, featuring piano, cello, violin and organ. Free and family friendly.

Ice Cream Train Ride

Time: 1:30 to 2:30 p.m., 3 to 4 p.m.

Enjoy some ice cream on a train at 1:30. It's $24 for adults and $18 for kids 3-13. $5 for a toddler or free if they won't have ice cream.

Printing Workshop

Learn how to use corn and corn husks to make unique prints on paper and fabric. Bring your own type of fabrics. Tickets are $12.51 and is held in the Common Room.

Have a great time this Friday night with a DJ-led dance party in the alleyway between Titos and Wander, and Crawford Square.

Storytelling Through Music

North Adams Public Library

Time: 11 a.m.

Bang on a Can All-Stars cellist Arlen Hlusko offers her process on how she programs music for a concert to share stories with her audiences. She will also perform a short solo cello recital. Part of The Bang on a Can Summer Music Festival at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art. Held in the third floor community room.

Ground/work 2025: A Close Look

Clark Art Institute, Williamstown

Time: 1 p.m.

A Clark educator will lead a discussion around the outdoor sculpture "Gathering My Thoughts" by British artist Laura Ellen Bacon. Using willow branches that are tied, looped, and woven together, Bacon's process evokes basket-weaving and the nest-building of birds. Requires a moderate hike on uneven and occasionally steep terrain.

Keep Moo'ving 5K for Berkshire Bounty

High Lawn Farm is having a 5K race to benefit Berkshire Bounty. Registration fee: $30 Friday, $35 Saturday, $40 race day.

Outdoor Sensory Palooza

Pittsfield Sewer Lining Replacement Projects

PITTSFIELD, Mass.—; The City's Department of Public Services and Utilities sewer lining replacement project continues the week of Dec. 8.

The sewer lining will be replaced in several locations as outlined in the schedule below. This work includes lining aging sewer pipes to help prevent future breaks within the sewer line. There should be minimal to no impact on residential sewer lines during this work.

Dec. 8-10: Danforth Avenue (7:00 a.m. to 9:00 p.m.)
Dec. 11: Wahconah Street, between North Street and Seymour Street & Park Street between
Wahconah Street and Seymour Street (Overnight work-6:00 p.m. and 5:00 a.m.)
- During this time, Wahconah Street, from North Street to Seymour Street, and Park Street, from Wahconah Street to Seymour Street, will be closed to traffic. Residents and emergency vehicles will be allowed to enter and exit the street if necessary. For more information about this project, please contact the Water Department at (413) 499-9339.
