NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Windsor Lake has been closed following the identification of an unusual algae bloom in the water.

This measure has been taken out of an abundance of caution while awaiting the results of further testing and determine whether treatment will be necessary, according to the mayor's office.

Testing is ongoing, and the lake will remain closed until further notice.
