WILLIAMSTOWN, Mass. —  

David A. Sweet, 78, of Williamstown, Massachusetts, passed away unexpectedly following a brief illness on May 4, 2026, with his children by his side.

Born on October 2, 1947, Dave was a lifelong resident of Williamstown and a graduate of Mount Greylock Regional High School. He spent many years farming, loved being outdoors, could fix just about anything, and never knew boredom. He was a man of few words but had the biggest heart.

Dave was predeceased by his parents, Marion Sweet (Haley) and Norman Sweet Sr.

He will be dearly missed by his son, Jeff Sweet of Cheshire, MA; his daughter, Kacee Sweet, her husband, Ben Daly, of Hopkinton, MA; and his beloved grandchildren, Kaia Marion Daly (6) and Clark David Daly (5).
