The Mount Greylock Regional School boys tennis team could see a familiar foe in the semi-finals of the Western Massachusetts Division 3 team tournament.

The Mounties (14-1) picked up the No. 1 seed in the sectional when the seeds were announced on Tuesday, and that gives them a bye into the semis.

They await the winner of Thursday's match between No. 5 Monument Mountain (9-2) and No. 4 South Hadley (9-9) in South Hadley.

In the Division 1 boys tournament, Pittsfield (5-5) garnered the No. 9 seed and will open the tournament on Thursday against Central (10-5) for the right to take on top-seeded Longmeadow (13-2) in the sectional quarer-finals.

Monument's and Mount Greylock's girls tennis teams represent Berkshire County in the D2 girls tournament, but they cannot face each other until the semi-finals, if each gets there.

The second-seeded Spartans (14-0) get a bye into the quarters, where they will play either No. 7 Greenfield (12-3) or No. 10 Pioneer Valley Christian (7-5).

No. 6 Mount Greylock (14-3) also has a bye, but it has to go on the road to face No. 3 Belchertown (13-5) in the quarters.
