The Farmers Market is back for a season of fresh produce, local plants, canned goods, locally raised meat, eggs, and more! Many farmers are returning this year, including Mt. Williams Greenhouses, Square Roots Farm, Many Forks Farm, Country Dream Farm, Jaeschke's Orchards, Emma Morin, and more! Non-food vendors will include Benjamin Mancino Photography, Dancing Bare Soap, and Six Petal Crafts. The kick-off of the market will include music, and a raffle to win SteepleCats tickets. The Family Place will be set up to run kids crafts and activities. The market accepts credit/debit cards, SNAP cards, WIC, and Senior Coupons.

Cascade School Supplies purchased all the materials for the project and will donate $1000.00 worth of art supplies of the department's choosing for their efforts. Head up to Windsor Lake as local band One Way Out kicks off the summer concert series with their blues/rock improvisation style. These concerts combine great music with the beautiful natural backdrop of Windsor Lake. Pack a picnic, bring a chair or blanket, and let the sweet sounds of music and water carry you away on a warm summer night. Concessions are available at the lake, but people are welcome to bring their own food. Limited quantities of beer and wine are allowed. Parking is free, and swimming, fishing, kayaking, and canoeing are allowed at the lake. Concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesdays between June 12 and August 28 (excluding August 14). Rain cancels.

The Main Street Market will be a one day market during the Solid Sound Music Fest weekend. We'll be wrapping up a fun-filled weekend on June 23rd from 9am to 2pm on Main Street in North Adams, between Holden and Eagle Street. Enjoy a leisurely Sunday stroll down Main Street while shopping these one-of-a-kind wares. This market is a collection of over 2 dozen (so far) local artists, crafters, farmers, bakers, glass blowers, potters, knitters and more. Hope we see you there! The Healing Concert is a 2-hour concert of meditative music, using vocals, keyboards, special effects and Blisslights to inspire natural healing. An accomplished musician, author and one of the founders and leaders of today's World Music movement, Wah! has performed with Deepak Chopra, Wayne Dyer and Neale Donald Walsch. Greylock after Dark – A Night Photography Workshop with Timothy Little

Moonlit vistas await you in this four and a half hour workshop devoted to shooting Mt. Greylock's iconic summit after sunset. Night photographer and author Timothy Little will teach you the tips, tricks and skills to begin your journey into low light and night photography. Learn to shoot using only the light of the full moon, ambient light or flashlights and see familiar places in new ways. Attendees need only have a basic understanding of their camera's manual settings and are asked to arrive with a digital SLR camera, a tripod and a manual release cable (for creating long exposures). The group meets inside Bascom Lodge about 90 minutes prior to nautical twilight for a slideshow and discussion and then heads out on to the summit to begin shooting as the moon rises behind the War Memorial. All attendees will receive a free copy of Timothy's eBook "Summit Nights – Mt. Greylock after Dark” and a matted print from his portfolio of photography featuring the summit as a memento of the journey. Workshop cost is $85 and is limited to just 12 participants. Berkshire County Homes Celebrating Holiday Cheer

There's holiday cheer throughout the Berkshires this winter.

Many homeowners are showing their holiday spirit by decorating their houses. We asked for submissions so those in the community can check out these fanciful lights and decor when they're out.

We asked the homeowners questions on their decorations and why they like to light up their houses.

In Great Barrington, Matt Pevzner has decorated his house with many lights and even has a Facebook page dedicated to making sure others can see the holiday joy.

Located at 93 Brush Hill Road, there's more than 61,000 lights strewn across the yard decorating trees and reindeer and even a polar bear. 

The Pevzner family started decorating in September by testing their hundreds of boxes of lights. He builds all of his own decorations like the star 10-foot star that shines done from 80-feet up, 10 10-foot trees, nine 5-foot trees, and even the sleigh, and more that he also uses a lift to make sure are perfect each year.

"I always decorated but I went big during COVID. I felt that people needed something positive and to bring joy and happiness to everyone," he wrote. "I strive to bring as much joy and happiness as I can during the holidays. I love it when I get a message about how much people enjoy it. I've received cards thanking me how much they enjoyed it and made them smile. That means a lot."

Pevzner starts thinking about next year's display immediately after they take it down after New Year's. He gets his ideas by asking on his Facebook page for people's favorite decorations. The Pevzner family encourages you to take a drive and see their decorations, which are lighted every night from 5 to 10.

In North Adams, the Wilson family decorates their house with fun inflatables and even a big Santa waving to those who pass by.

The Wilsons start decorating before Thanksgiving and started decorating once their daughter was born and have grown their decorations each year as she has grown. They love to decorate as they used to drive around to look at decorations when they were younger and hope to spread the same joy.

"I have always loved driving around looking at Christmas lights and decorations. It's incredible what people can achieve these days with their displays," they wrote.

They are hoping their display carries on the tradition of the Arnold Family Christmas Lights Display that retired in 2022.

The Wilsons' invite you to come and look at their display at 432 Church St. that's lit from 4:30 to 10:30 every night, though if it's really windy, the inflatables might not be up as the weather will be too harsh.

In Pittsfield, Travis and Shannon Dozier decorated their house for the first time this Christmas as they recently purchased their home on Faucett Lane. The two started decorating in November, and hope to bring joy to the community.

"If we put a smile on one child's face driving by, then our mission was accomplished," they said.
