SteepleCats Fall to Keene at Home

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. -- Marshall Lipsey went 3-for-6 with a double and three RBIs Monday to lead the Keene, N.H., Swamp Bats to an 11-4 win over the SteepleCats in the New England Collegiate Baseball League.
 
Collin Overholt was 3-for-5 with a double for North Adams, which got a single from Taconic graduate Nick Guachione.
 
The SteepleCats (19-22) head to Lynn on Tuesday for a double-header against the North Shore Navigators.

SteepleCats Shut Out on Road

MONTPELIER, Vt. -- Four Vermont pitchers combined to strike out 11 and allow four hits Tuesday as the Mountaineers beat the North Adams SteepleCats, 11-0, in New England Collegiate Baseball League action.
 
Evan Meier, Bobby Stang, Tonny Woodie and Chris Diaz each had a hit for the SteepleCats, who used five pitchers in the loss.
 
North Adams (0-2) comes home Tuesday to host the Mystic Schooners at 6:30 p.m. at Joe Wolfe Field.
