Mass MoCA Presents Yaya Bey

NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art (Mass MoCA) presents R&B star Yaya Bey.
 
The concert will take place on March 21, at 8 pm.
 
According to a press release:
 
Rising R&B star Yaya Bey's music contains multitudes — at once celebratory and deeply personal, sophisticated and full of visceral grooves, with a voice to melt hearts soaring above it all. Her wide-ranging sound is rooted in classic R&B, but brings in everything from hip-hop to soca to jazz and beyond; fans of The Roots, Ravyn Lenae, and Phony Ppl will feel right at home.
 
Tickets are $25 advance, $35 preferred; members receive 10 percent off

Danbury, Conn., Edges SteepleCats

DANBURY, Conn. – The Westerners scored three runs in the bottom of the first and went on to a 6-4 win over the North Adams SteepleCats in New England Collegiate Baseball League action on Saturday night.
 
Gavin Donohue and Ryan Martin homered for Danbury, which got five innings of two-run pitching from starter Cole Gibson.
 
Nicolas LoBello homered and Matthew Colella went 2-for-2 with a pair of doubles for North Adams.
 
Joe LaPrade struck out four and allowed no runs in 2 and two-thirds innings on the mound for the SteepleCats.
 
North Adams (7-22) is at Vermont on Sunday night.
