NORTH ADAMS, Mass. — The Al Nelson Friendship Food Pantry announces that it will begin opening on Thursday evenings starting on Thursday April 9.
It will be open from 4:30 to 6:30 p.m. every Thursday. The pantry, at 45 Eagle Street, serves households in North Adams, Clarksburg and Florida Mountain.
The Board of Directors decided to add the hours to serve those who can't come to the pantry during its Wednesday hours in the morning and early afternoon.
On Wednesdays they are open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., with sign-ins at the Eagle Street Room of the First Baptist Church. On Thursdays, sign-ins will take place at the food pantry at 45 Eagle Street.
The Friendship Center Food Pantry, a member program of the Food Bank of Western Massachusetts, is an all-volunteer program of the Northern Berkshire Interfaith Action Initiative Inc.
